You know I do not have a lot of memeories of the VA crew but I do have fond memories of Sis and Leo. I remember hanging around the river and collecting duck eggs. They were 2 of the nicest people I can think of. I loved that Sis was such a country girl.

I remember Sis always comparing herself to Grandma Moses, but I don't think she ever got the same notoriety. I always liked Leo, but I always thought he could have been Pat Buttram's brother (Mr. Haney from Green Acres.)

Sis and Leo are both gone now. Sharing our memories will help to keep us from forgetting.

As I thnk back to my earliest memories of Bentonville, it is Grandaddy Williamson who stands out the most. I can't remember ever hearing him talk, I'm sure he did, but I can't remember it. Something about him facinated me. Grandma Oden thought it was the missing leg, but there was something about him, a presence that I just fell in love with. He had a menacing appearance with those thick dark eyebrows, bald head, and stoic demeanor. I just loved being around him.

Then there was Grandma Williamson, a gentle, loving woman with a gravelly voice and wonderful talent in the kitchen. She had such a great laugh. It was so hard to see her after Grandaddy died, so heart-broken and alone. We have a great deal to be proud of in her.

No trip to "the country" missed beign punctuated by the smothering affection of Nancy. Alive and vibrant, a pretty redhead, and a personality that was fun to be around. She had to have a kiss and hug. I may have acted embarassed, but I would have been disappointed if she had forgotten.

What about the rest of you? Won't you weigh in?
