Recent contact with one who was sucked in by the WWCOG caused me to feel a need to present information that will help you in dealing with those who may be influenced by its seduction.

The WWCOG, originally founded as the "Radio Church of God" in 1933, was the sect birthed by Herbert W. Armstrong. Also known as Armstrongism, the WWCOG was a split from the Church of God, Seventh Day and shares many of the same tenets.

HWA led his followers into an understanding of what he believed to be the only true revelation of the Scriptures and their meaning. HWA felt that the traditional church was but the perversion of "the Roman Heresy" and a pervesrsion of "true Christianity." He felt it was his calling to set things right and make men aware of what God had planned for man.

The WWCOG espoused 13 basic doctrines:
1. The Seventh Day Sabbath
2. The British/American Replacement of Israel in God's Plan
3. The United States of Europe to be the Enemy of Jesus at HIs Return
4. The First Resurrection
5. The Millennial Utopia
6. No Eternal Judgement (No Hell)
7. Healing was Paid by Jesus' Scourging and thus No Medicine is Permitted.
8. Jesus' Crucifixion Paid the Price for Sin and Openned the Door for Man to Redemption.
9. There is no Trinity, Rather the Father and Son Make the Holy Family.
10. The True Church is Still Obligated to Keep the Mosaic Law.
11. Moral Purity
12. The End Times Church is Pictured in Revelation 2.
13. Three Tithes are Ordained - Levitical, Feast, and Charity
